With Belle Tiger head baseball coach Bryce Gehlert becoming a father over the summer, several of his players will be competing for an Outkast 17U baseball team.

Over the weekend in tournament action at Fenton, they went 2-2 giving them second place in the tournament.

Hank Stratman helped the Outkast 17U squad to a 3-0 victory over St. Louis Powershock 17U team on Sunday.

Striking out 11 batters, Stratman also allowed no run on three hits over six innings while walking four batters.

Stratman helped his own cause in the top of the sixth inning with a solo home run to left field while Evan Koenigsfeld singled and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth inning.

Both Stratman and Koenigsfeld each drove in a run.

Edging the 18U Blue St. Louis Redbirds 5-4 on Saturday, Luke Rohrer got the win for Outkast 17U allowing five hits and two runs over four innings while also surrendering a walk and recording two strikeouts.

Koenigsfeld earned the save in relief of Rohrer.

Zach Hull led Outkast 17U with a pair of runs batted in (RBI) while Stratman also went 2-for-2 at the plate with a pair of base hits.

Outkast 17U also stole six bases in the game with three of them recorded by Stratman.

In the top of the third inning against the St. Louis Redbirds, they got on the board after Jackson Crede singled and scored.
