Fresh off a 15-0 shutout of Newburg two days earlier, Chris Feeler’s Belle Tiger baseball team looked to keep the trend going in Saturday doubleheader action at Belle City Park against Stover and Calvary Lutheran.

In their first game of the day, Belle took on Stover’s Bulldogs.

Racing out to a quick 6-0 lead after one inning, the Tigers put up crooked numbers in the remaining three frames of their 20-0 victory over Stover in four innings.

Serving as the visitors on their home field, Belle got the first chance to break the scoreless tie against Stover.

Six singles led to six Belle runs in the top of the first inning.

Singling and scoring were Jeb Seaver, Jace Gieck, Carter Kinkead, Clayton Shockley and Sam Willis.

Kaiden Robertson was also hit by a pitch and scored to account for Belle’s sixth run.

Pitching around a lead off single in the bottom of the first inning, Kameron Newton kept Stover off the scoreboard leaving Belle’s 6-0 lead intact after one inning of Saturday baseball from Belle City Park.

Sending 11 batters to the plate in the top of the first inning, Belle nearly did the same in the top of the second.

Kinkead walked to lead off the inning before scoring on a Robertson RBI single.

Robertson later scored on a Cole Loughridge RBI single giving Belle an 8-0 lead.

Willis was hit by a pitch with two outs before scoring on an error pushing Belle’s lead to 9-0 heading to the bottom of the second inning.

Newton retired Stover in order keeping his shutout bid intact after two innings.

Inning number three saw Belle add four more runs to their lead.

Gieck started the top of the third reaching on an error before a walk to Kinkead and Shockley reaching on another error loaded the bases for Robertson.

Delivering a single down the third-base line, Shockley drove in Gieck and Kinkead pushing Belle’s run total into double figures at 11-0.

After a Robertson single, RBI ground outs by Zane Strunk and Willis gave the Tigers a 13-0 lead over Stover moving to the bottom of the third inning.

Working around a two-out walk, Newton had a shutout through three innings.

Doubles and a home run were the story for Belle in the top of the fourth inning.

Seaver started the inning reaching on an error before being doubled home by Gieck.

Kinkead was then hit by a pitch before a Shockley double allowed Gieck and Kinkead to score pushing Belle’s lead to 16-0.

A Robertson single and Isaiah Sullinger being hit by a pitch loaded the bases for Willis.

Lifting a RBI sacrifice fly to center field, Shockley scored making Belle’s lead 17-0 with one out.

Cole Loughridge then delivered the big blow of the game with a three-run home run to center field giving Belle a 20-0 lead moving to the bottom of the fourth inning.

In spite of allowing back-to-back hits to start the bottom of the fourth, Newton retired the next three batters to earn a complete-game shutout of Stover.

Robertson led the Tiger offense with three hits, three runs batted in (RBI) and four runs scored.

Cole Loughridge had two hits, a run scored and a game-high five RBIs.

Seaver, Gieck and Shockley each also had two hits for Belle.

In Belle’s 10-0 shutout of Calvary Lutheran, Shockley earned the complete-game victory allowing only three hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Sullinger led the Tiger offense against the Lions with four RBIs.

Kinkead had a team-high three hits and two runs scored.
