Able to take advantage of dry weather to begin the week, John Viehland’s Belle High School golf team competed in the season-opening Cuba Lakes Golf Classic at Cuba Lakes Golf Course.
Callen Taylor led the Tigers with a nine-hole round of 52 good for fourth place overall.
Avery Craigmiles shot a 55 to finish tied for sixth while Myles Buter carded a 58 to place ninth.
Baylar Smith rounded out the top 10 with a round of 60.
Sam Willis rounded out Belle’s contingency of golfers shooting a round of 61 placing him in a two-way tie for 12th place.
Cuba topped the team standings with a total score of 186 followed by the Tigers at 225.
Licking’s Wildcats took third as a team with a score of 244 edging out Owensville’s Dutchmen who took fourth place with a team score of 245.
