Phyllis L. Sands, 86, of Newburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.
She was born May 7, 1938, to Lewis Arthur Turner and Cecelia Roberta “Sis” Wilson Turner in Rolla.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lewis and Cecelia; son, Orel Lee Sands; infant brother, Lewis Leon Turner; sister, Joyce Hoss; and brother-in-law, Charlie Hoss.
Phyllis is survived by daughters, Marcia Martin and husband Gene of Rolla, and Myra Ragan of Vichy; daughter-in-law Claudia Sands of Jefferson City; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment was in Pea Ridge Cemetery in Doolittle.
Memorials suggested to the Rolla First Youth Group.
