Feeling blue.

Under normal circumstances that would not be a good thing.

However, Evin Farris’ Belle Lady Tigers might be content playing teams with blue in their school colors after results of their two games from last week.

That is because they defeated Viburnum’s Lady Blue Jays 56-52 last Tuesday before taking down Bourbon 40-33 two nights later.

Both games were played at Bland Middle School due to the Belle Boys Basketball Tournament also taking place at BHS.

Surviving numerous lead changes in the second half against Viburnum, Belle came away with not only a Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) win but also consolation hardware from the Battle in Bourbon Tournament.

Hali Naber led three Lady Tigers in double figures with 14 points against the Lady Blue Jays. Nevaeh Kinsey (12) and Natalie Gehlert (11) also reached double digits for Belle against Viburnum.

Holding off Bourbon two nights later last Thursday, Kinsey led the Lady Tigers with 12 points against the Lady Warhwaks.
