Warden Publishing hires new reporter for Vienna

VIENNA — Warden Publishing Company recently hired me to cover news in Maries County. I graduated from The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, Calif., with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication: Journalism in May 2025.

As a journalist, I am passionate about accurately informing and educating the community about relevant issues, being balanced in covering both sides, so that the people can be well-informed citizens. From tragedies to community events to road construction, I believe that every story is a piece of how God is working to accomplish His purposes.

I grew up in the East San Francisco Bay Area in a Christian home, attending church and a Christian school. After graduating from Contra Costa Christian High School, I moved to Los Angeles County for college. While in Southern California for four years, I completed my degree and worked at the school cafeteria for three of those years until moving to Missouri.

My faith is fundamental to who I am. I believe that God’s Word is the authority over every aspect of my life and that through every season, God is working all things for my good and His glory. Because Jesus died for my sins, I can live confidently in His grace.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends over various activities like hiking, coffee, meals, the beach or even just walking through a city’s downtown. I also love watching the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers. Furthermore, now that I no longer work in the exhausting grind of food service, I plan to get back into the long-distance running of my high school cross-country days.

I look forward to engaging with the Maries County community and sharing stories that matter, and I will honor the Lord in my new position.
