Wanda June VanScoy, 82, of Dixon, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, in Phelps Health, Rolla.
She was born June 1, 1941, to John and Nettie Florence (Null) Doyle near Dixon.
She was united in marriage to Earl William Van-Scoy, March 1, 1958, at Dixon.
Wanda was a member of Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, near Dixon, where she played the piano and served on the church board for many years. Wanda was baptized on April 29, 2001, and again on Aug. 13, 2006, in the Gasconade River. She had been employed at Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, for over thirty years, prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Nettie; husband of 65 years, Earl; brothers, Lloyd Doyle, Bobby Doyle, Wilson Dean Doyle, John Willard Doyle and Junior Dale Doyle; and sisters, Marjorie Jones, Blanche Fuller, Esther Schenk and Eva Doyle.
Wanda is survived by children, Brenda Ridgeway and husband Jeff of Dixon, Linda Wagoner and husband Bob of St. Peters, Duane VanScoy and wife Donna of Vienna, and Glenda Emmons and husband Tony of Dixon; sister, Louella Jennings of Granite City, Ill.; brother-in-law, Donald VanScoy of Owego, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), July 19, from 10–11 a.m., on, at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, with funeral services following at 11 a.m., in the Chapel with Pastor Helen Winters, Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Seaton Cemetery, near Dixon.
