During the Mizzou LDE on March 3, FFA Knowledge took home several awards.
FFA Knowledge took home third place, with Grace Veasman placing 7th individually. Max Keeran took 1st in Extemporaneous Speaking, Gage Curler took 3rd in Division 1 Public Speaking and Larissa Rollins took 4th in Division 2 Public Speaking. Ethan Kloeppel took 2nd and Max Keeren took 4th in Advanced Public speaking, Lauren Libbert took 6th, and Lily Grace took 7th. In employment skills, Lauren Libbert took 5th and Lily Grace took 2nd.
The officer and scholarship applications were due on March 9 before the March 10 trap shooting practice.
There was the first CDE held at Lincoln University. the Agronomy team took 1st with Ella Hollis taking 1st individually, Brooke Campbell took 3rd, and Scarlett Weeks took 10th. The Meats team took 9th; the Floriculture team placed 7th; the Forestry Team took 4th place; with Talan Reeves placing 7th individually; and Poultry Evaluation Team took 4th.
March 11 was the Officer Meeting and Chapter Meeting with cookies and milk.
The Union CDE, Agronomy team took 2nd place, with Ella Hollis placing 3rd individually and Brooke Campbell took 5th place.
The Floriculture Team took 5th place, with Reese Snodgrass taking 6th place individually and Lauren Libbert took 9th place. Meats Team took 2nd place with Ethan Kloeppel taking 6th place individually and Kenna Roberds taking 10th.
The Poultry Evaluation team took 4th, with Rebecca Miller placing 5th individually, and Forestry Team took 6th. Gage Curler placed 3rd in Division 1 Public speaking. On March 16, officer and senior scholarship interviews were held. Congratulations to the 2026-27 Vienna FFA Officer Team: President Brooke Campbell, Vice President Ethan Kloeppel, Treasurer Ella Hollis, Secretary Grace Veasman, Sentinel Max Keeran, Historian Raleigh Walker, Reporter Kenna Roberds, Chaplain Macie Rowden, and Parliamentarian Larissa Rollins.
The Area CDE were in Owensville on March 17.
The Agronomy Team took 2nd, with Ella Hollis taking 3rd individually; Brooke Campbell took 5th; Raleigh Walker took 6th; and Scarlett Weeks took 8th. Floriculture Team took 3rd, with Reese Snodgrass taking 5th individually. The Forestry Team placed 8th; Meats Team placed 3rd with Grace Veasman taking 6th individually. Poultry Evaluation Team took 4th place with Kia Ross placing 8th individually.
The Area LDE was on the 18th, and FFA Knowledge took 3rd place, Grace Veasman took 2nd individually and Macie Rowden placed 10th. This team is district-bound.
In FFA Creed Speaking, Grace Veasman placed 1st and is moving on to districts.
In Division 1 Public Speaking, Gage Curler took 3rd-District Bound, and Larissa Rollins-Alternate. In Advanced Public Speaking, Lauren Libbert took 3rd-district bound.
Max Keeran took 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking and will be moving on to districts.
In Employment Skills, Lily Grace took 1st, and Lauren Libbert took 3rd; both are going to Districts. Congratulations to everyone who competed!
There was no school from March 23rd-27th for spring break. On March 29, there was a Market Beef weigh-in, which was mandatory to show a market animal at the Livestock Expo this year. On March 31, we had the District LDE in Rolla.
Lily Grace took 2nd in Employment Skills and is going to State. FFA knowledge is a State alternative. Max Keeran took 2nd alternate to the State in Extemporaneous Speaking.
Grace Veasman took 1st in FFA Creed Speaking and is going to State. On April, everyone who participated during FFA week got rewarded with pizza for lunch.
On April 2, the group had the District CDE. Floriculture team took 9th with Reese Snodgrass taking 9th individually and is moving on to State. The Agronomy Team placed 2nd with Ella Hollis taking 2nd individually, Brooke Campbell placing 8th, and Scarlett Weeks placing 9th. They are State-bound.
Forestry Team placed 10th.
Poultry Evaluation Team took 8th and is going to State. The Meats team placed 7th with Grace Veasman placing 9th individually.
There was no school on April 3-6.
April 8th, there was an early morning office meeting and Chapter Meeting with pulled pork. During the day we had the Farm Bureau Youth Leadership day, we got to talk to Bennie Cook and listen to Mike Kenhoe and Jamie Johansen.
New Business
There will be trap shooting practice on the on April 14.
April 15th-17th is the State FFA Convention.
Anyone going to the State convention events, please plan for that and figure out what day to be there. On April 20, the Area officer applications are due, so anyone who wants to apply to be an Area XIV officer, please fill out the application.
Trapshooting was hosted again on April 22.
Area officer interviews should be turned into an application before going to interviews in full official dress.
Note: Anyone planning to show a market sheep, goat or hog must attend the mandatory weigh-in on April 26. On the 28, there is trapshooting practice.
An Area Banquet is on April 29, this is for the students who competed at the Area level for a CDE or LDE and won an award.
