BELLE — Green Meadows Laundromat located on Highway 28 in Belle and the former ABC Store located on Highway 89 were vandalized early Friday morning, according to Marshal Jerry Coborn.
“They were more than likely shooting with a BB gun since there were no pellets left in the window,” Coborn said about the double paned glass at Green Meadow Laundromat. “Probably the same people that shot the laundry mat did the ABC store. Probably same time frame.”
Coborn believes the vandals are local because they came through about 20 minutes after the morning officer, Sgt. Mark Morgan, went off duty.
“We don’t have any leads right now,” Coborn said on Monday afternoon.
Tammy Green, owner of the Green Meadows Laundromat, was at the business on Monday morning with Miller Glass to get an estimate to fix the damaged door. Window panes on either side of the door was damaged as well.
“What posses somebody to do something like this,” Green asked. “It’s sad.”
Coborn said he believes their is some camera footage of the vandalism and will know more at a later date.
