US 63 Fuels opens under new ownership in Vienna

VIENNA — A familiar stop in Vienna has entered a new chapter after changing hands earlier this month, bringing new ownership, a new name and renewed investment into one of the community’s busiest locations.

Terin Peter officially purchased the former Quik Spot gas station located on Highway 63 and Fifth Street, on Feb. 2, marking the start of a transition that will see the business rebranded as US 63 Fuels under the corporate company Midway Petroleum. While the name and branding will change, Peter said the goal remains centered on serving local customers while building long-term roots in the community.

“We saw a great opportunity here and felt this location had strong potential,” Peter said. “Vienna is a friendly and supportive community, and we wanted to invest in a place where we can grow our business and serve local customers.”

Peter brings prior experience to the venture, already owning and operating approximately 10 gas stations across the St. Louis and Jefferson City regions. He described the Vienna purchase as part of a continued expansion effort for the company while also allowing them to enter a smaller, community-focused market.

“We already own and operate around 10 gas stations in the St. Louis and Jefferson City areas under our corporate brand,” Peter said. “This is part of our continued growth, and we’re excited to bring our experience to Vienna.”

The transition includes a new store name and branding, though customers can expect a continued focus on service and value.

“Yes, the store name will be changing,” Peter said. “The new name will be US 63 Fuels, and our corporate brand is Midway Petroleum. We will continue to focus on excellent service, quality products, and value for our customers.”

Peter said one of the most encouraging aspects of the purchase has been the reception from local residents since taking ownership.

“It feels wonderful,” Peter said. “The people here are very welcoming and kind. We’re happy to become part of this community.”

As part of its opening promotions, US 63 Fuels will offer 89-cent coffee of any size every Wednesday, along with free coffee and fountain drinks for all first responders as a way to give back to the community from the start.
