BELLE — A St. James man was killed and an Owensville man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 28 in Maries County on the morning of July 29, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. near 33998 Highway 28, in the eastbound lane.

According to the patrol, a westbound 2020 Ford F-350, driven by an 18-year-old Owensville man, crossed the center of the roadway into the path of an eastbound 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 25-year-old St. James man. The vehicles collided head-on before both traveled off the right side of the roadway.
