MARIES COUNTY — Gascosage Electric Cooperative is looking to fill the open seat representing Maries County on its board of directors, according to a recent news release.
The board of directors run the company, including policymaking, planning the company’s future, representing the company and overseeing the finances.
Founded in 1945, Gascosage Electric Cooperative is an electric utility company that is locally owned, aiming to avoid being influenced by those who live outside Missouri.
The person who fills the position must be a member living in Maries County and have professionalism, good character and no conflicts of interest.
Interested people must be nominated by a petition with at least 15 members and send a financial disclosure form. The deadline is 4 p.m. on June 24, which is 80 days before the Sept. 12 annual meeting.
