Sheriff serves search warrant at City Hall

Maries County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop I conducted a search warrant at Belle City Hall around noon today.

According to Belle Marshal Jerry Coborn, Sheriff Heitman was looking for stolen items.

“We executed a search warrant on City Hall, and reported stolen items are still missing,”Coborn said.

“Members of the Patrol and my Office have attempted to contact (Mayor Daryl White, Jr.) via phone,” Heitman said. “We attempted to make contact at his work and residence to no avail. Daryl (White) Sr. Said he would have him come down in about 15 minutes and that was several hours ago.

“At this time, he is my person of interest in the investigation. If you know the mayor's location please contact my Office. Marshal Jerry Coborn has been good assistance with my investigation.”
