Ronald Kieth Giesler, Sr., 94, St. James, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022.

He was born Dec. 5, 1928, to Roy Russell Giesler and Flora Elva (Warner) Giesler in Vichy.

He was united in marriage to Retha Venitta Chambers, Sept. 23, 1950, in Salem, Ark.

Ronald graduated from Vienna High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He worked for International Shoe Company for 22 years until the company closed. He worked cattle and later worked for West Asphalt. 

Ronald was preceded in death by wife Venitta; parents Roy and Elva; parents-in-law Ernest and Mabel Chambers; brother, Roy Giesler, Jr., and wife Freddie Lou; sister, Evelyn Barta; brothers-in-law Donald Chambers and J.C. Hargrove; and grandson-in-law Will Rogers.

Ronald is survived by children Kimberly Giesler, Ronald Giesler, Jr., Tami Felan all of St. James, and Cheryl Moreland of Rolla; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; brother Raymond Giesler of Rolla; sisters Geneva and husband Bill Feeler of Rolla, and Lylis Hargrove of St. James; sister-in-law Rosemary Chambers of St. James; and brother-in-law George Barta of Bloomington, Minn.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 29, from 10–11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, with a memorial service immediately following with Pastor Barrett Payne officiating.
