Roger G. Durbin, 80, Bland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at the Britt Tinnin Manor in Ellington.
He was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Jefferson City, to the late Bernice Durbin and John Durbin who helped raise Roger as his own son.
He enjoyed wheeling and dealing to make a living. Always on the go, Roger made trades with many people through the years and auctioned for most his life.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger and was a lifelong area resident.
Roger was preceded in death by parents, Bernice and John; daughter, Carla Durbin; and brother, Junior Bishop.
He is survived by children, Rita Trainor of Bland, Rodney Durbin and wife Ginger of Belle, Karen Littrell and husband Bill of Cleavesville and Carl Howard and significant other Bonnie of Lamar, Colo.; grandchildren, Ashley, Jody, Trevor, Daylene, Shayla, Chase, Tonya and Curtis; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Cindy Lee and husband Tony of Eldon and Sherrie Heaper and husband Rodney of Sweet Springs; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel.
