OSAGE BEACH — Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin making improvements to provide a smoother driving surface for motorists on Route 42 between Osage Beach and Iberia.
Beginning Wednesday, April 27, crews will begin the process of resurfacing and replacing guardrail along Route 42. The work will continue through June, with one lane closed at each work location between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Once work on Route 42 in complete, contractors will also be making improvements to U.S. Route 54 in Osage Beach. Route 54 will be resurfaced between the Grand Glaize Bridge and the Osage Beach Parkway/Route 52 interchange. This phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of July.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays in the work area and plan alternate routes when possible. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists and encourages all drivers to stay focused on the road, obey all traffic signs, and watch for workers on the road.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information about these projects or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central.
