Phillip Lee Macey, 88, of St. James, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born June 2, 1934, to the late Charles and Marie (Gype) Macey in Syracuse, Kan.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was united in marriage to Doris Henry in 1958. Doris passed away in 1994 after spending thirty-six years together. In 1995 he was united in marriage to the former Shirley Rowden, who sadly passed away in 2021.
Phillip worked for Switzer Company in Rolla. They were bought out by Brigg and Stratton, a small engine factory, which Phillip retired from. He was a longtime member of the Big Rock Church in Barnett.
He was preceded in death by parents Charles and Marie; first wife Doris; second wife, Shirley; and son Mark Macey.
He is survived by children, Steve Macey and wife Sherryl of St. James, and Dana Walker and husband Todd of St. Robert; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Knowles.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 11, at St. James Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary with associate Pastor Johnathan Weaver officiating. Interment with full military honors was at the St. James Cemetery.
