Please, be a strong voice of reason for our nation. Our country is on the verge of armed conflict both internally and internationally. How much will be gained by armed action when balanced again respect, lives and resources lost. Where is the sovereignty of our citizens and our nation’s allies? Can ignoring the U. S. Constitution, international treaties and laws make life better for our citizens or guarantee them a better future?
You are an elected official, entrusted as part of the checks and balances our democracy relies upon. You are called upon to use your position to exercise your insight, learning, intelligence and conviction as a governmental guide. Once elected your responsibility is not to a party but to your entire constituency and in a larger sense to represent this nation’s values in the world.
Follow what you determine to be expedient for our nation and know history will not applaud your allegiance to a political party but to your dedication to making our nation and our world a better place for us and for our children’s future.
