Matthew Scott Oesch, of Dixon, formerly of Aurora, Ill., passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024 at the age of 47 years.
He was born Oct. 21, 1976 in Frankfort, Germany to Clifford Mason Oesch and Karen Rae (Coester) Oesch.
Throughout the years Matthew was employed in a number of management positions in packaging industries located in the Chicago area. He was an avid fan of Chicago professional sports teams especially Cubs baseball, Bears football, and Blackhawks hockey. He enjoyed working on his car and collecting sports memorabilia. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews and his dog, Kaner, who was his constant companion.
Matthew was preceded in death by grandparents, Clifford and Juanita Oesch, and Raymond and Louise Coester.
He will be greatly missed by surviving family which includes parents, Clifford and Karen Oesch of Dixon; brother, Robert Oesch and wife Rachel of Warrenville, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Reilly, Ryne, Ruby and Rory Oesch; and dog, Kaner.
A Celebration of Life for Matthew S. Oesch will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Kenner Church of God in Dixon. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
