Mary Ellen Joan Cardin, 87, of Dixon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, in Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dixon.
She was born Dec. 17, 1935, to Floyd E. and Bessie M. (Lambeth) Williams in Bloodland.
She was united in marriage to Robert Dean Cardin, June 4, 1954, in Bellflower.
Mary was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, where she also played the piano. She worked in the family businesses, R&M Fiberglass, Country View Acres Campground and Cardin’s Carpet; and was manager for the Good Samaritan in Waynesville.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert; parents, Floyd and Bessie; daughter, Kathi Ioane; granddaughter, Ellen Jean Cardin; sister, Velma Lea Doyle; and brother-in-law, John Willard Doyle.
She is survived by children, Larry (Jeannie) Cardin; Ed (Tina) Cardin and Dawn (Jeremy) Tope all of Dixon; son-in-law, Nick Ioane of Dixon; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 3, in Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Bro. Robert Hamm, Meta, officiating. Internment was in the Dixon Cemetery.
