Margaret Maxine Brandt, 78, of Dixon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, in University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia.

She was born March 2, 1945, to James Augusta “Pete” and Pearl (Overlease) Logan in Rolla.

She was united in marriage to Wayne Elvis Brandt, Aug. 7, 1960, at Dixon.

Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary; and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked at the base PX station, Fort Belvoir, Va.; the Brown Shoe Company as a floor lady; at Paramount Hat Factory; was a cook at Dixon Nursing and Rehab; as well as being the operator of Brandt’s Crafts and Quilting Shop, Dixon. She also had been the cub master for Pack 187, Dixon; active in the Dixon R-1 PTO; and was vice-president for the Dixon Chamber of Commerce.

She was preceded in death by parents, James “Pete” and Pearl; and brothers, Donald Logan, James Logan and Dale Logan.

She is survived by husband of almost 63 years, Wayne, of the home in Dixon; and son, Timothy Raymond Brandt of Dixon.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials suggested to the West Fairview Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
