Lucy A. Bunton, 86, of Rolla, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2023 at the Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 10, 1937, to Sam and Evelyn (VanDorn) Laney in Maries County.
She was united in marriage to Herman Bunton, April 15, 1953.
Lucy was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Evelyn; husband, Herman; daughter, Bernice Lavy; grandson Jeremy “J.D.” Bunton; and granddaughter, Brooke Bunton.
She is survived by children, Dottie McDonald and husband Darrel of Rolla, and Eugene Bunton and wife Tammy of St. James; sisters, Irene Watson of St. James, and Sandra Creed and husband Carson of Okla.; and six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Craig Rippy officiating. Interment was at the Asher Cemetery.
