Lois Jean “Jeani” Cantrell, 73, of Crocker, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood.

She was born Sept. 19, 1949, to Noel Loyd and Cleta Fern (Hitchens) Roberts in Ft. Riley, Kan.

She was united in marriage to Carl Stephen Cantrell, Jan. 22, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Jeani was baptized early in life and was a member of the Concord Christian Church near Crocker. She was a life-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Crocker Memorial VFW Post 4956. She was the owner and operator of Jeani’s Corner Café in Crocker for ten years. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Noel and Cleta; daughter, Tammy Holyfield; brother, Bill Roberts; and sister, Sandy Smith.

Jeani is survived by husband, Steve of Crocker; children, Robert Singleton of Crocker, Maria Parker (Darnell), Jackie Kerns (Dan) and Maria Nmir, all of the state of Virginia; mother-in-law, Joy Cantrell of Crocker; brother, Tom Roberts of Crocker; sister, Debbie Spencer of Jefferson City; and 16 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 22, at 12 noon, in the Concord Christian Church, Crocker. Burial will be Monday, July 24, at 11 a.m., in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville.
