Body integrity identity disorder, or BIID is the latest disorder you may, or may not have seen in the news. According to Wikipedia, it “is a mental disorder characterized by a desire to have a sensory or physical disability or feeling discomfort with being able-bodied, beginning in early adolescence and resulting in harmful consequences.”
Note BIID is currently considered a mental disorder. This is about to change. To get on the transgender bandwagon, activists are relabeling this condition as “transableism.”
A person with BIID identifies as a disabled person. Because of this they may mutilate themselves. Others ask surgeons to amputate healthy limbs, destroying their eyesight or even having their spinal cord cut to cause paralysis.
Jørund Viktoria Alme, 53, a senior credit analyst in Oslo, Norway, identifies as a disabled person. So, she uses a wheelchair. She is also transgender, according to Heraldscotland.com. In an interview with “Good Morning Norway” in 2022 Alme said she had a “lifelong wish” to have been born “a woman paralyzed from the waist down.”
FoxNews.com interviewed a 24-year-old college student from North Carolina who called transableism a “cry for attention.” Not wanting to be identified, he was also quoted as saying, “It’s embarrassing, and I don’t know if you can be considered a serious human being if you alter your body like this, instead of getting the appropriate mental help you need.”
I doubt he would use the same logic to describe a transgender who mutilates their body to change their sexual appearance.
Most college students will agree that you cannot identify as another race, especially when that race is Black. A term for this is transracial.
You may remember Rachel Dolezal, a white woman who identified as Black. She made headlines in 2015 as the president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Washington.
In addition to claiming black ancestry, she also claimed Native American descent. Dulezal’s parents are white and of German, Czech and Swedish ancestry.
One possible explanation of Dolezal wanting to be a person of color is her experience as a white person. According to Wikepedia.com, she sued Howard University for discrimination, saying she was “denied scholarship funds, a teaching assistant position, and other opportunities because she was a white woman.”
You probably haven’t heard of Amanda Dorrough. Dorrough is a 35-year-old Washington state woman who — after being arrested for sexting and providing runaway teens with drugs — told police she identifies as a 15-year-old boy.
According to the police report, “she feels like teenagers ‘understand’ her better” and that “she ‘identifies’ better with teenage kids.”
When a biological man identifies as a woman, he can be put in jail with women. Should someone who identifies as a juvenile be tried in juvenile court?
In 2018 a 69-year-old Dutch man legally tried to change his age to 49. In an article in the Guardian, he said he does not feel his age and that — here is probably the real reason — he feels he is being discriminated on a dating app. “Emile Ratelband told a court in Arnhem in the Netherlands that he did not feel “comfortable” with his date of birth and compared his wish to alter it to people who identified as transgender.
In my opinion, many transgender activists like Dylan Mulvaney and Lia Thomas are riding the transgender wave for two reasons, attention and money.
A self-described “radical feminist and a registered Democrat,” Kara Dansky has written a book on the tansgender issue. The title says a lot, “The Abolition of Sex: How the ‘Transgender’ Agenda Harms Women and Girls.”
Dansky explains her opposition to men and women identifying with the opposite sex, “This is about women and girls having rights, privacy, and safety.”
In an article in the Federalist she says “The truth is that “gender identity” does not exist in any real, material sense, and “transgender” is simply a made-up concept that is used to justify all kinds of atrocities, such as convicted male rapists and murderers being housed in women’s prisons with vulnerable women, men being permitted to parade around with erect penises in women’s sections of spas, and men participating in women’s sports.”
“All of “gender identity” and “transgender” politics is a men’s rights movement intended to objectify women’s bodies and erase us as a class. The entire edifice is a lie. It is left-wing misogyny on steroids.”
