Lawrence Clayton “Larry” Walls, 71, Bland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born July 28, 1954, to the late John and Lucy V. (Valley) Walls in Sullivan.
He was united in marriage to Lou Shaw April 29, 2006, at the V.F.W. hall in Cuba.
Larry worked as a maintenance man for area motels in Tulsa for many years.
He and Lou attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Belle.
Larry enjoyed camping and fishing, listening to oldies music on Saturdays, and watching wrestling. He enjoyed a good meal and loved the holidays with all the food and fixings.
Larry was clever and could always find a way to solve any problem presented to him. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, John and Lucy; son, Joey Walls; sister, Mary Ellen Walls; brother, Edward Eugene Walls; and step-father, John Shaw.
He is survived by his wife, Lou of Bland; daughters, Andrea Bridgette of Sullivan and Heather Walls of Rolla; sons, Mathew Walls and Edward Bartle and wife Shannon, all of Union and Michael Bartle of Bland; nine grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced by Sassman’s Chapel.
