Larry Dale Board, 66, of Vichy, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at his home near Vichy, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 19, 1958, to Glen Leroy and Marjorie Lou (Kearns) Board, in Butler.
He was united in marriage to Connie Sue Wood, Feb. 22, 1979, in Hume.
Larry was a member of the Vichy Campground Church of God, Vichy. In 1982, 1983, and 1984, he served as a missionary on mission trips to Haiti, where he helped build churches, schools, and other improvements. Larry grew up on a dairy farm and was part of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, as a milk tester, in Missouri and Kansas for 27 plus years.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Glen and Marjorie; and brothers, James “Jim” Board and John Board.
He is survived by wife of 44 years, Connie, of the home near Vichy; daughters, Lori Jean Robbins and husband George of Rolla, and Kelli Elizabeth Alcantara and husband Jeremy of St. James; three grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Nancy Board of Lee’s Summit.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, from 10–11 a.m., at Vichy Campground Church of God, Vichy, with funeral services following, with Bro. Clarence Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Vichy Campground Church of God Cemetery.
Immediately following the cemetery service, the Board family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them in the Vichy Campground Church of God fellowship hall.
