Facing Linn’s Lady Wildcats on the road in Osage County last Tuesday night, Kaci Jones’ Belle Lady Tigers looked to make the most of their lone match last week.
Unable to establish an offensive rhythm against the host Lady Wildcats, Belle dropped the varsity match in three sets 25-14, 25-11 and 25-13.
Serving an ace apiece against Linn included Saige Garner, Lydia Jones and Chloe Jones.
Lydia Jones led the way for Belle against Linn with five kills to go along with two apiece from Adalyn Walters and Chloe Jones.
Adding to her five kills, Lydia Jones also recorded a team-high three blocks in Osage County.
Garner also dished out a team-high six assists while pacing Belle with 11 digs.
Zoe Camden added five assists for the Lady Tigers.
Walters also reached double digits in digs finishing with 10 just behind Garner.
Chloe Jones added four digs followed closely with four each from Kennady Kinkead, Hadassah Carman and Lydia Jones.
Hayden Fann also collected two digs for Belle against Linn.
In the JV match that also went three sets, Belle took game one 25-19 before dropping the next two and the match 19-25, 25-21 and 25-18.
On the road last night (Tuesday) in Viburnum, Belle will play two more Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) volleyball matches over the next week starting Friday, Oct. 3 on the road at Steelville before hosting Bourbon’s Lady Warhawks on Tuesday, Oct. 7 for senior night.
Action both nights will start at 5 p.m.
