Normally having three games under their belts, Belle Lady Tiger softball had to wait until last Tuesday to open their season due to the Montgomery County Tournament being canceled because of heavy rain fell along Interstate 70.
Facing California’s Lady Pintos on the road last Tuesday, Belle managed five hits but could not push a run across falling 3-0 on the road.
Pitcher Nevaeh Kinsey helped with cause with two of Belle’s five hits.
Aubrey Rehmert, Natalie Gehlert and Dakota Butcher also had a hit against California.
Hosting Eugene last Friday, Belle was tied at 1-1 after four innings before the Lady Eagles plated 12 runs handing the Lady Tigers a 13-7 loss.
Rehmert had three hits and two runs scored while Butcher had two hits and two RBIs.
