It’s all in the numbers

Last Friday, President Joe Biden released a statement assuring America that the long-awaited immigration bill, currently in the U.S. Senate, would solve our problems and allow him to shut down the border with Mexico.

“For everyone who is demanding tougher border control, this is the way to do it,” Biden said in the statement. “If you’re serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it.”

A wise saying comes into play here: “Actions speak louder than words.” Since Biden became the leader of the free world, his policy on the border has been to open it to anyone.

Biden does everything in his power to make it easy for illegals to enter our country. Last year, he introduced CBP One, a free app for mobile phones that, according to Customs and Border Protection, can allow 1,450 migrants a day into the U.S.

As the state of Texas fights back against illegal crossings with barriers and razor wire, Biden attacks Texas Governor Greg Abbott in court to have the barriers removed and the wire cut. Biden’s actions speak volumes.

How can anyone believe that Biden wants to slow, let alone stop, illegal immigration when his administration refuses to enforce immigration laws currently on the books?

Here are a few numbers that demonstrate the crisis and show Biden’s true intentions.

Zero, nada, zilch

Zero is the amount of proof needed to claim asylum for entry into the United States.

“No laws need to be passed,” Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and X, wrote last week concerning illegal immigration. “All that is needed is an executive order to require proof before granting an asylum hearing. That is how it used to be.”

93 Percent

Earlier in January, a YouGov poll showed that 93 percent of respondents felt the border is a crisis or problem for Americans. Interestingly, only 70 percent in a CBS News Poll disapprove of Biden’s handling of immigration.

302,034

Since Biden took office, hardly a month goes by without a new record for migrant encounters. The latest record of 302,034 was set for the month of December, normally a slow month.

There were other records broken in December. Customs and Border Protection sources revealed to Fox News that on Dec. 18 there were over 12,600 migrant encounters, a record for one day. Fiscal Year 2023 also set a new record with 2.4 million illegal border crossings.

6.9 Million

According to U.S. Senator from Texas John Cornyn, since President Biden took office, there has been 6.9 million illegal border crossings. His website breaks it down, “U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has logged more than 5.4 million illegal border crossings, plus at least 1.5 million “gotaways” — that is, border crossers who were detected by CBP technology, but who were never apprehended.”

13 Billion

A report on ABC News from July 2022 said that “cartels and “coyotes” are reportedly earning around $13 billion a year by smuggling migrants across the United States/Mexico border.” The estimated amount just four years earlier was $500 million. That is an increase of 2,600 percent.

150.7 Billion

All these numbers are fine and dandy. But the question is, how does this affect us? That’s where 150.7 billion comes in. According to the Federation For American Immigration Reform (FAIR), “the net cost of illegal immigration for the United States — at the federal, state, and local levels — was at least $150.7 billion.” This total was arrived at after subtracting just under $32 billion in tax revenue generated by illegal aliens.

FAIR goes on to say, “illegal immigration costs each American taxpayer $1,156 per year,” and “those that do work in the formal economy often receive back more than they pay to the federal government through refundable tax credit programs.”

Note that FAIR’s numbers do not include the impact of illegal immigration in the last 12 months.

There is no doubt that Biden wants open borders for one purpose — to increase voters for the Democrat party. To reach this goal, he is destroying the United States of America.
