Harold Gene Vineyard, 95, of Dixon, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, in Phelps Health, Rolla.
He was born May 17, 1928, to Stephen “Steve” and Mary Belle (Humphrey) Vineyard in Dixon.
He was united in marriage to Leona Mae McKinnon, Aug. 27, 1952, at Dixon.
Harold worked on the family farm and at the MFA, Dixon, and was later employed at LB Manufacturing, Iberia, until his retirement in 1990, after 24 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dixon.
He was preceded in death by parents, Steve and Belle; son, Michael Gene Vineyard; brothers, Charley R. Vineyard, James Henry “Jim” Vineyard, Loyd H. Vineyard, George Melton Vineyard, and Rector Ralph Vineyard; and sisters, Myrtle Jane Williams-White and Alene Lillian Groves.
Harold is survived by children, Lois Mae Vineyard of Dixon, Deloris June Vineyard of Jefferson City, Jesse Clarence “J.C.” Vineyard of Hallsville, Pamela Sue Vineyard of Newburg, and Marsha Doyle (Duane) of Dixon; and nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday Dec. 5, 2023, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, Dixon, with Pastor Jack Capel, First Baptist Church, Dixon, officiating. Interment was in Williams Cemetery, near Dixon.
Memorials suggested to the Williams Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
