BELLE — Families have several opportunities to enjoy spooky fun this week as local organizations host trunk or treats, fall festivals, and community celebrations in Belle, Bland, Vichy and Vienna. The wide variety of events means children and adults alike can dress up, collect candy, and visit neighbors in a safe, family-friendly environment without having to travel far from home.
The Vichy Fire Department will kick things off with a Trunk or Treat from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the fire station parking lot, located at 14812 Highway 63 in Vichy. Families can expect plenty of treats and the chance to meet local firefighters who help keep the community safe year-round. Organizers say the afternoon event offers a relaxed, daylight option that’s especially good for younger children.
On Halloween night, Oct. 31, several events will light up the evening across the county, giving families multiple stops to fill their trick-or-treat bags.
The Belle-Bland Community Center will host a Trunk or Treat from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., sponsored by Owens Towing. The event typically fills the parking lot with plenty of candy for kids of all ages.
In Bland, Small Wonders Montessori will host its “Boo-tiful Night” Trunk or Treat from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the parking lot at 102 W. Colorado Ave. Organizers encourage families to come in costume and enjoy a night of music, treats, and community spirit.
The Belle High School Art Club will sponsor the Belle School Trunk or Treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 504 Third St., followed by a Haunted House from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the same location. The haunted house is designed and staffed by students, giving visitors a chance to support local art programs while enjoying a few thrills and chills.
Families looking for a faith-based celebration can visit the First Baptist Church in Belle for its Fall Festival, set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 203 W. Second St. The church event will feature refreshments in addition to candy giveaways, offering a festive option that blends fun with fellowship.
Families can also stop by the Belle Assembly of God, which is sponsoring Neighbors Night Out from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 506 E. First St. in Belle. The church invites everyone to enjoy the festivities, and fellowship, in a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.
Meanwhile, in Vienna, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Vienna Main Street are teaming up to present a Trunk or Treat from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Vienna Courthouse Square. Businesses and organizations will line the square with candy tables, creating a lively small-town atmosphere for families to enjoy together.
With so many options throughout the week, residents of all ages can find a safe, enjoyable way to celebrate Halloween close to home—while supporting the community organizations and volunteers who make these events possible.
