George August Palaska III, 84, of Dixon, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021.
He was born September 10, 1936, to George Palaska Jr. and Iona (King) Palaska in Kansas City.
He was united in marriage to Janice Elaine (Douglas) Palaska September 19, 1959, in Kansas City.
George served in the U. S. Army until his honorable discharge April 1, 1960. Later, he was employed as a computer repairman with Control Data Corporation for over 30 years and later worked with the U. S. Postal System until retirement.
He was preceded in death by father George. and mother Iona.
He is survived by wife, Janice, two children, Chris Palaska and wife Danielle of Kansas City and Tracy Palaska of Liberty; brother, Ted Palaska of Dallas Texas; sister, Betty Jo Diven of Kansas City; two grandchildren,; two great-grandchildren,.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. (today), Wednesday, April 14, at White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Sherriff’s Association.
