VIENNA — The Vienna Chamber of Commerce (VCOC) recently held a ribbon cutting for Fifth Element Tattoo Parlor in Vienna. The new tattoo parlor in Vienna is owned by artist Eric Williams. 

Williams said for him, the Fifth Element is art. Humans have the basic senses of sight, hearing, smell and taste. The sensing organs associated with each sense send information to the brain to help humans understand and perceive the world around them. For Williams, who knew from a very young age he needed to be a tattoo artist, the sense of touch is strong within him. He calls it the Fifth Element, thus the name of his business. 

The Fifth Element Tattoo Parlor is located at 212 4th Street, Vienna. It’s on the courthouse square, across the street from the main entrance to the courthouse. Williams opened his business in February 2020, just before the COVID-19 shut down. During that business shuttered time, he kept busy renovating the business and residential space he uses in the old, rock building on the square. His efforts have improved the appearance of 4th Street and revitalized and reinvented a once-vacant and historic building.

Williams has 10 years experience in the business as he worked from a tattoo parlor space in Jefferson City. He’s a dedicated artist with many talents. He takes pride in bringing his art of tattooing and his expertise to central, rural Missouri. The Fifth Element runs by appointment only and the spaces fill up fast. Williams works at a high caliber and the tattoo parlor’s customers like Williams very much and much admire his work and artistic abilities.
