Donnie Joe Stogsdill, of Rolla, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the age of 75.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1948, in Rolla, to the late Robert Elmer Stogsdill and Ruth May (Jones) Stogsdill. Oct. 12, 1968, he married his loving wife, Lorna Rose (Butler) Stogsdill.
Donnie was employed in the construction business for many years. He loved shooting guns and collecting them. He also enjoyed collecting knives. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman, he spent many hours fishing, hunting, and just living outdoors. Donnie enjoyed traveling, and watching western movies and shows.
Donnie was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Ruth; and brother, Robert Stogsdill.
Donnie Joe Stogsdill was a loving husband, father, and son. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes wife, Lorna of Rolla; daughter, Sheila Cottle of Rolla; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cottle of Memphis, Tenn.; nephew, Ronald Stogsdill and wife Sue of Marshfield; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Donnie J. Stogsdill will be held Saturday, July 22, at 1 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ-Belle Restoration Branch, 35024 Hwy EE, Belle. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
