Donna Ridenhour, 88, Belle, passed away on Aug. 21, 2026, in Owensville, two years to the day after the death of her son, Kirk Dean Ridebhour.
She was born on June 6, 1938, to the late Christian and Sadie Danuser of Belle, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
She attended Belle High School.
Donna retired from Belle school district after over 20 years of service.
She was united in marriage to Donald C. Ridenhour in 1957 and they shared 69 wonderful years together.
Donna loved to garden, decorate for holidays, involve herself in church activities and spend a lot of her time with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was known in the Belle community for her kindness and sending cards for every occasion.
Donna was preceded in death by son, Kirk Dean Ridenhour; sister, Vivian Furan; and nieces,Vicki and Vali Furan of Chicago, Ill.
She is survived by daughter, Carla (Sue) Ridenhour; daughter-in-law, Tina Ridenhour; grandchildren,Thomas and Sarah and Elizabeth Ridenhour, Jacqueline Ridenhour and significant other Corey Starkey and Jennifer Weston and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Robert Ridenhour and fiancé Teagan Trainor, Alecia, Kael, Dalton and Bailey Ridenhour, Charles Lewis, Hadley Buddemeyer, Hunter, Oliver and Sadie Starkey and Walker and Cooper Weston; great-great-granddaughter, Nova Ridenhour; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., (today) Wednesday, Aug. 26, followed by the funeral service at First Christian Church in Belle, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Lunch will be provided at the First Christian Church following the graveside service.
Memorial contributions suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your local Humane Society.
