Donald Chambers, 90, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022.

He was born Sept. 3, 1931, to Earnest and Mabel (Southard) Chambers in Maries County.

He was united in marriage to Rosemary Davis on Dec. 21, 1951, in Rolla.

He went to St. Louis to Barber School and was a barber in St. James for over 60 years. He attended the First Assembly of God in St. James and served as a Deacon and was on the St. James School Board for 20 years. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by parents Earnest and Mabel; son Randy Chambers; and son-in-law Rick Hanrahan.

He is survived by wife, of over 70 years, Rosemary of the home; son Gary Chambers and wife Rhonda of St. James; daughters Marilyn Disser and husband Glen of St. James, and Linda Hanrahan of St. James; sister Venetta Giesler of St. James; and 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Jan. 18, at the First Assembly of God Church, St. James, with Pastor Mick Thrasher officiating. Burial with full Military Honors was at the Southard Cemetery near St. James.
