Cynthia Arlene York, 71, of Dixon, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.
She was born Sept. 27, 1951, to Lyle Phillip and Arlene Thelma (Sedgwick) Marshall in West Point, N.Y.
She was united in marriage to Douglas William York, Oct. 27, 2021, in Waynesville.
She was a member of the Amazing Grace Fellowship, Crocker, and was employed with civil service as an instructor for 30 plus years, retiring January of 2016. Cindy enjoyed sewing and camping.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lyle and Arlene; daughter, Shana Hollandsworth and an infant daughter; and brother, Donnie Marshall.
She is survived by husband, Doug, of the home near Dixon; children, Samantha Burress (Robert) of Gaston, S.C., Amanda Rule (Daniel) of Dixon, Jon Veach of Callaway, Md., Jodi Hollandsworth (Michael) of Jackson, and Jason Veach of Tumwater, Wash.; siblings, Ron Marshall (Mary Ellen) of Rolla, and Wendy Conklin (Blake) of Camdenton; and 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, June 3, at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.
