Christmas in Vienna brings holiday cheer

VIENNA — The Vienna KC Hall was filled with festive energy this past weekend as families and friends gathered for a Christmas celebration in Vienna, hosted by Vienna Main Street. The event offered a variety of activities for kids and adults alike, making it a memorable kickoff to the holiday season.

Children lined up at the Letters to Santa station, hosted by Phelps Health, where they could write their wishes and send them through a direct passage to the North Pole. The craft corner, presented by Maries County Bank, encouraged creativity, letting attendees make their own Christmas decorations and ornaments to take home. Nearby, the good book corner offered a cozy spot for kids to sit and enjoy holiday stories, adding a calm, magical touch to the evening.

Music filled the hall with live performances by Mickbyrdmusic, with movies sponsored by Barnhart Dental played on the big screen. CreativeLee Yours kept the young ones entertained with face painting, rounding out a fun-filled evening of games, crafts and holiday cheer.

Several booths added to the festive atmosphere, including Phelps Health, Heartland Regional Library, Vienna Lions Club and the Maries County Bank, giving attendees the chance to explore and enjoy the event.

The evening also featured a silent auction with a mix of practical and playful items, including bourbon, BBQ sets, cinnabons, veterinary services, gift cards, toothbrushes and even a fire extinguisher.

Hannah Shanks, representing Maries County Bank, expressed gratitude for the community’s participation.

“Your attendance is the absolute gift,” Shanks said. “We are humbled by everyone who came together to celebrate the season, and by the generosity of local businesses who donated their time, resources, decor and auction items. All proceeds are reinvested into Vienna to help fund future community events.”

Christmas in Vienna gave families a chance to celebrate the season together, enjoy creative activities and experience the generosity and spirit that Vienna has to offer.
