BELLE — Local salon businesses in Belle teamed up to support the Maries County R-2 students with back-to-school princess gel manicures and donated all the proceeds and tips toward the negative school lunch balances.
Myrtle Mae’s Beauty’s Natasha Weller and Southern Roots of Belle’s Shelby Ridenhour and Robbi Fachting completed 48 sets of gel manicures. They donated $1,000, the total of all proceeds and tips, to the Maries R-2 School District’s negative lunch balances.
After their manicures, each princess was also given a journal, pencil, juice, and a cookie.
“We had a lot of fun doing this and can’t wait ‘til the next year…or the next event,” the ladies said.
Maries R-2 thanked the community partners for their thoughtfulness and generous donation on its Facebook page.
“Thank you to these ladies for the donation!”
