BELLE — The Belle Community Betterment Association (BCBA) will host its 6th Annual Swap Meet, Extravaganza and Car Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 10 at Belle City Park on Saturday.

Stacey Kelly, event organizer, said on Tuesday afternoon that this year’s event should be bigger than previous years.

“Come and go as much as you like, as it has been in the past,” Kelly said. “Admission is $3 per person. Ages 12 and under are free.”

With classic cars, great food, and friendly competition, there will have hours of entertainment and shopping available.

Registration for the 6th Annual Car Show will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. with a $15 entree fee. Car enthusiasts may opt out of the judging competition and simply display their vehicles for a $10 registration fee, which also enters them in the attendance prizes. Judging begins at 11 a.m. and prizes will include awards for Best In Show and People’s Choice.

“We have a large variety this year,” Kelly said about the vendors. “It will be one of the bigger groups.”

Kelly estimated 200 vendor spots have been sold to 130 vendors. She expects more to show up on the day of the event.

“Last year we had 20 people on the day of show up,” she said. “Most of the spots are pre-sold.”

The group is prepared this year and measured out 30 more spaces currently for sale and available on the same day as the show.

“No one will be turned away,” she said. “We are not completely sold out. If you show up, we will find you a spot.”

The vendors who have registered for the event are coming from miles around with a variety of goods.

“There is a variety of items this year from automotive, antiques, furniture, crafts, local t-shirts vendors, guns, fishing items, lawnmowers, homemade jewelry, tumbles, Harley Davidson parts, vintage signs, old oil can, even a boat for sales,” Kelly began. “We have a local bringing hanging baskets, plants, succulents, and fresh produce. We have a vendor with USDA inspected frozen beef. You might want to bring your coolers.”

Food, including breakfast and lunch, will be available at the concession stands.

“We will have our normal concession stand with pulled pork, nachos, pulled pork nachos, hamburgers and hot dogs,” Kelly said.

Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. and consists of biscuit and gravy and muffins.

“Our kettle corn vendor will be there again this year,” Kelly said.
