Arthur Wayne Padgett Sr. 74, Belle, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
He was born Nov. 15, 1946, to Kineth and Stella (Travis) Padgett, in St. Louis County.
He was united in marriage to Charlotte Thornsbrough, Aug. 22, 1964, in Tijuana, Mexico.
Arthur was previously employed at Brown Shoe Company and owned and operated Adams Upholstery Shop.
He was preceded in death by parents, Kineth and Stella; and brothers, Dave Fangers, Earl Fangers and Junior Padgett.
He is survived by wife, Charlotte; children, Arthur Jr. and wife Jeanette, Stella Mullersman and husband Scott, Maggie Brooks and husband Perri and Adam and wife Alsea, all of Belle; brother, George Padgett and wife Linda of Owensville; sisters, Dolly Baldwin and husband Bill of Stockton and Barbara Williamson and husband Tom of Sullivan; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 3, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with Jimmy Hance officiating. Interment was in the Skaggs Chapel Cemetery.
