Allen Lloyd Honse, 83, of Vienna, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, in Stonebridge, Owensville.

He was born Dec. 20, 1940, to Clyde Avery and Mabel (Frey) Honse in Vienna.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Breeding, June 11, 1966, in First Baptist Church, Vienna.

Allen was a member of First Baptist Church, Vienna, and had attended Little Flock Baptist Church, near Vienna, as long as his health permitted. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation as a traffic inspector for 43 years, retiring in 2002, as well as, working with the Vienna Ambulance.

Allen was preceded in death by wife, Barbara; parents, Clyde and  Mabel; and brothers, Pete, Edwin, Robert, Charles, Forrest, Harold (Marie), and Donald (Mildred) Honse.

He is survived by children, Mark Honse, Scott (Dawn) Breeding, and Tina (Scott) Dake all of Vienna; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Joyce (Gabe) Ramsey of Marshall; and sisters-in-law, Jean Honse, Custer City, Okla., Joyce Honse, Elizabeth Honse Rowden (Ron), May Honse, and Vivian Honse all of Vienna.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb, 15, from 5–7 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 16, from 10–11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Vienna, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Chris Slocum officiating. Interment will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery, Vienna.
