Leona Faye Rivera, 67, Dixon, passed away May 4, 2022, at her residence near Dixon.
She was born Dec. 9, 1954, to the late James Harlan and Ruby Lucille (Jett) Acord in the state of California.
She was a member of the Victory Hill Baptist Church in Dixon.
Leona was employed by the Miller County Nursing Home for over 15 years and the Dollar General in Vienna for 20 plus years until her passing.
She was preceded in death by parents, James and Ruby; brother, Kenneth Virgil “Kenny” Acord; sister, Loretta Gayle “Lucy” McKinnon; and nephews, Brian and Jason Acord.
Leona is survived by children, Amy Brinkley and husband Bill of Dixon, Devlin and Derek Rivera, both of Vienna and Morgan Sinden of Packxton, Ill.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Acord and wife Judy of Jefferson City, Robert Acord and wife Suzanne of Hartman, Ark., Carol Blackard of Clarksville, Ark. and Rebecca “Becky” Bowser and husband Brian of Dixon; and brother-in-law, Charlie McKinnon of Dixon.
The funeral service was held Saturday, May 7, in the Victory Hill Baptist Church in Dixon, with Bro. Dennis Nichols officiating.
