William Dean Sims, 83, Warrenton, formerly of Dixon, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, in the SSM St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1942, to the late Melvin L. and Imogene (Slone) Sims in Dixon.
He was united in marriage to Charlsie Jones on Dec. 24, 1960, in Dixon.
Dean worked at Brown Shoe Company, worked in construction and also at St. Charles Boat and Motor.
He was preceded in death by wife of 53 years, Charlsie; parents, Melvn and Imogene; brothers, infants Charles Dwight and Jerry Wayne Sims, Roger, Charlie, Danny, Michael and Keith Sims; and sister, Norma Jean Harrison.
Dean is survived by children, Jerry Sims and wife Janet and Brad Sims, all of Warrenton; brothers, Dwight Sims and wife Shirley, Larry Sims, Kenny Sims and wife Debi and Willis Sims; sisters, Linda Chandler and husband Danny and Brenda Bell and husband Charlie; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The Funeral Service was held on Aug. 28, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel in Dixon. Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery.
