The Vichy Vounteer Fire Department (VVFD) held a pie supper fundraiser on March 18 at the firehouse. About 150 attended the event, which included a performance by Jerry Rosa and the Rosa String Works Band and the Vichy mayoral elections. In the days leading up to the fundraiser, “voters” made donations to VVFD in support for their chosen mayor candidates. Once the cash was counted, six-month old puppy Harper Maddox (owned by Melissa Maddox) was declared the winner of a one-year term as Vichy’s mayor.
