Vienna High School won first-place at the Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC)’s all-conference meet earlier this month. The team is pictured here: Carson Wilder (front, left), Ian Lake, Aliyah Griffin (second row, left), Kara Bastion, Hazel Coons, Arora Cremer, Kennedy Eckley, Jillian Fick, Coach Debra Starkey, Carter Hayes (back, left), Declan Walker, Wyatt Branson, Lauren Libbert, Matthew Hamill, Dani Murphy and Grace Weber. Individual and small-group first-place finishes went to Hayes for Humorous Interpretation, Lake for Radio Speaking, Coons for Original Oratory and Poetry Reading and Eckley and Fick for Duo Interpretation. As a team, Vienna took first with 503 points. Second-place Steelville scored 453 points, and third-place Cuba scored 236 points.
