Velda M. Party, 93, Linn, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at her son’s residence surrounded by family.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1933, to the late Robert and Flora (Tyree) Branson in Linn.
She was united in marriage to James “Gus” Party on Nov. 26, 1957, in Hernando, Miss.
Velda was preceded in death by husband, James; parents, Robert and Flora; sister, Dixie Puckett; and brother,Verlyn Branson.
She is survived by sons, Dale Party and wife Tonya of Dixon, James L. Mantle and wife Kathy of Bourbon and Robert Mantle and wife Janet of Union; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, at Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge.
