Linn alumni Mark Maassen (above) was inducted into the Missouri Press Association (MPA) Hall of Fame Friday evening at the MPA 160th convention in Columbia. Maassen grew up reading the Osage County Unterrified Democrat before attending the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Maassen worked for the Kansas City Star for more than 33 years before being chosen to lead the MPA as their director in 2015. Maassen has displayed an unmatched enthusiasm for Community newspapers. His family, right, were on hand to support him as he received this honor.
