BELLE — The Bland Municipal Court recorded 17 new traffic cases and five new ordinance-related cases between May 1-28, according to its monthly Municipal Division Summary Reporting Form. Bland aldermen were presented with a copy of the report during the June 8 meeting.
At the beginning of the reporting period, the court had 129 pending traffic cases, 85 pending ordinance-related cases and one alcohol or drug related traffic case.
During the month of May, six other traffic cases were disposed. Records show one case was resolved through a guilty plea in court, four cases were resolved through violations bureau dispositions and bond forfeitures, and one case was dismissed by the court.
At the close of the month, the court reported another 140 pending “other” traffic cases, 90 pending non-traffic ordinance-related cases and one pending alcohol- or drug-related traffic case.
Municipal court records indicate no warrants were issued or served during the month. However, 41 warrants remained outstanding at the end of the reporting period.
The report also showed no jury trials, bench trials, trial de novo filings or appeals during the reporting period.
Financially, the court reported total disbursements of $450.50. Revenue subject to Missouri’s excess revenue limitations totaled $203.37, including $191 in fines and $12 in clerk fees.
Additional revenue not subject to excess revenue limitations totaled $233.13, with that amount including $200.50 in fines, $12 in clerk fees, $14.26 for the Crime Victims Compensation Fund, $4 for the Law Enforcement Training Fund and $2 for the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission surcharge.
The reporting form was prepared by Julie Solan and submitted to the Office of State Courts Administrator for the 20th Judicial Circuit.
