Kenneth “Kenny” James York, 69, Dixon, passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026,at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1956, to the late Ward Ancil and Mary Ellen (Evans) York in Jefferson City.
He was united in marriage to Reda Fay Manes on Jan. 10, 1977, in Dixon.
Kenny worked as a laborer at the nuclear plants throughout the U.S., and on many road projects throughout Missouri.
He was preceded in death by wife, Reda; parents, Ward and Mary; and brothers, Terry, Edward, Charles Eugene, and infants, Dennis, William and Samuel York.
Kenny is survived by son, Christopher C. York of Fair Grove; daughter, Reda Diane York; brother, Donnie York and wife Beverly of Niangua; sister-in-law, Carole York of Dixon; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 10 until 11 a.m., (today) Wednesday, March 4, followed by the funeral service in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel in Dixon, with Pastor Patrick Singleton of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Villa Ridge officiating.
Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the West Fairview Perpetual Care Fund.
